Birmingham Book Festival. Friday 23 October. 7pm, Birmingham Conservatoire. Tom Priestley, JB’s son, will be joined by writer and broadcaster Stuart Maconie, author of the bestselling Pies and Prejudice, to discuss English Journey. Tickets £5, book via the web page for the event.

Tyneside Museum. Tuesday 27 October, 6pm, Tyneside Museum in Newcastle.  Join Tom Priestley and Newcastle University professor, John Tomaney, who will discuss how the North East chapters in English Journey relate to modern Tyneside.
